Wi-Fi

We provide Wi-Fi access in most areas in the campus. There are four wireless ID's defined:

BPC Staff & BPC Students

These two Wi-Fi access points are used by staff and registered students of Bellville Park Campus. Via this network users gain access to services on the university network, e.g. Library, Learning Hub etc. To be able to access the internet, users need to open and log in on Inetkey. Data usage via Inetkey is billed to a student’s account or to a staff members departmental cost centre.

BPCStaff
If you are a Belville Park Campus staff member and your device is connected to the domain you will be connected automatically.
For more information regarding BPC Staff, please click here.

BPCStudent
A student Wireless Network is available for Students with private/work notebooks. All Belpark Campus students use BELPARK\studentnumber. If you experiencing problems connecting, please visit the ICT Service Desk for connection to the Wireless Network.

BPCGuest

This access point is used by visiting lecturers and student groups to campus. By just connecting to this access point you will not have access to anything on the network or internet.

To be able to access the internet, users need to buy an internet voucher from the Library or the Bellvista Lodge. On the voucher is a code which will give you access to the internet capped by a pre-set amount of data.

Users on BPC Guest will (not) be able to access local services on the university network, e.g. Library, Learning Hub etc.
